We wanted to express a few thoughts about Jerry today. Our late mother, Lucy, had the good fortune to meet Anna while working at St. Agnes Hospital many, many years ago. When Jerry and Anna opened Ten Pennies, they hired our mom (who was in desperate need of a job at that time) in a heartbeat. Therein, began the initiation of a long-term relationship characterized by mutual respect, commitment and true friendship. Mom was extremely fond of Jerry and Anna as they were of her. Jerry (and Anna) treated our mom with so much kindness, more than one could imagine, just like she was a member of their own family during her employment and long after she retired until the time of her passing. They always had her best interest in mind. At the time of her passing, Jerry and Anna were more kind, compassionate and generous than words could ever express. We deeply appreciate this until this very day and will never forget it. Jerry was a very giving man and this is part of his legacy. May he rest in peace.
