Condolence: Not realizing how close we were to the anniversary of Marian's death, I was thinking about her a few days ago. I was partially responsible for hiring Marian when we had an opening at Southern Home for Children. I had been impressed with her professionalism and kindness when I called her former employer, the AMY School so I highly recommended her for our position,knowing that she would represent our organization positively to the public and families as well.

Marian was always supportive of me personally as I dealt with a difficult employment situation and she kept in touch with regular birthday wishes for over 20 years after I left Southern Home. The world has lost a gem but she is still with us in our hearts.

Condolence: Dearest Mother.... My house is so silent without you... I miss your presence and your voice... I miss our morning routine of OJ and coffee... I miss my Mommy!! You are the love of my life... You taught me unconditional love and undying loyalty.... You are the true meaning of FAMILY!! I still can't believe your gone... My solace lyes in my belief that you are at peace and enjoying the loved ones who greeted you at the gates of heaven... Please hug my Zam for me.... As God calls us, one by one, the DeRita chain will link again... I love you, Mommy.... I'll see you when I get there!! 💔💔

Condolence: I have only warm memories of Marian from our time together at Southern Home Services. I was especially touched that for years and years after I left SHS she would send me an email remembering my birthday.

I am so sad to hear of her passing.

Condolence: What a joy to have such a wonderful neighbor growing up on Porter Street. Marian was sweet and kind and loving and always genuinely interested in what was going on in my life. She was a dear friend to my mother, Diana, who if she was able would I'm sure say how much she was treasured and will never be forgotten. My heartfelt sympathies go out to Marian's family.
